Hi!

I'm Kevin, the owner and operator of Cape Handy, LLC. Thank you for visiting my site and for your interest in my services.

After spending the last 25+ years working across a broad range of industries in the corporate world, it dawned on me to make a necessary change in my life that would positively affect my own health and happiness, but also improve the quality of life and convenience of the residents, landlords and business owners in Cape Elizabeth and its surrounding communities.

Personally, I live in an almost 90 year old John Calvin Stevens colonial home in Cape Elizabeth that myself, my partner and her two sons have spent the last 5 years slowly bringing back to its glory after years of deferred maintenance by the previous owners. Since I was a teen, I started tinkering around the house; painting my first house at the age of 16, maintained a 10,000 square foot commercial building and also built custom sets for catalog photography in that same building all before the age of 20. I've always been “The Guy” that my friends, family, co-workers and neighbors have called on and trusted to assist with their home and office repairs, challenges and emergencies. Now I would like to help you at your home, rental property or your own business.

The market is saturated with large contractors and other specialty companies that focus and specialize on only one thing like plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, flooring, fencing, framing, locksmith, doors and windows, roofing, siding, HVAC, etc. While all of them have a purpose, nobody wants to wait weeks or months for someone to arrive to handle the small stuff. Most of these larger companies don't have the time for the little things and may overlook other obvious needed repairs that are simply not in their wheelhouse.

This is where Cape Handy, LLC comes in and fills the void. I focus on the small things that can be handled in a short amount of time.  I’ll also be right up front and straight with you. I am a one man show.  I don't claim to know everything. I only have two hands.  I don't take on big jobs.  I do not have the ability to put a full addition on for you, complete a large scale remodel, do a complete re-roof, re-wire your home, install a new furnace or drop large trees. Let’s leave that to the big guys and the specialists.  

What I can do is bring a new professional, reliable and trustworthy resource to the Cape Elizabeth area and excellence in all aspects of varied handyman services from small repairs and small updates to outdoor work, by providing prompt service and quality workmanship.

My approach is very simple: I take the time to listen and understand what my customers’ needs are and develop the right plan, at a fair price, to meet your needs. If your project is beyond my abilities, I’ll be right up front and let you know.
